@Luke: The AT&T service which it uses for producing sounds doesn't handle a lot of cases very well. There are a number of ways you can help the project if you are interested. I'd like to build a list of IPA samples which aren't handled correctly, but I don't actually know how to pronounce IPA. Or if you want to help with development, you can fork the gist on github and make modifications to the bookmarklet on a separate branch.

Cool. Very handy, since the non-English ones are hard to determine without example. I find it a little buggy when selecting text in enter fields (like this comment box) so an option just for copying text in, rather than when it fails. Also it handles diphthongs as two different sounds - /haj/ comes out "ha-yi".

The purified tap water came from a professional supplier, I reckon it was made with some fancy evaporator or reverse osmosisifier. The filtered tap water was just tap water run through a carbon filter.

The card is beautiful. Somehow the grapes don't seem to work on the hex, though.

What is the current status of your brake light detection software? What Java image processing package did you use? I could not fine a reference to it in the paper. Are you willing to share some of the code?

Thanks - Dan
